The curriculum focus at Pukekohe Intermediate is on process rather than content. We use an inquiry based learning programme, where students will investigate new strategies for learning, thinking, decision making, creativity and problem solving, in contexts that are relevant and meaningful to them.

Along with the teaching of the skills and strategies of Numeracy and Literacy we hope to guide students in the transference of these skills into any context across the curriculum.

E-learning is a big focus in all classrooms, to allow students access to information as well as a variety of ways to present and communicate their learning. We have an extensive array of digital tools available, including computers, ipads and cameras. We are also a BYOD school.
